ABOUT

About the Peak-n-Boo stories:

The Peak-n-Boo stories make up the three books: ‘Dreams Can Come True’, ‘The Treadmill Rules’, and ‘Special Delivery’. These stories are based on actual events that have transpired between these delightful rescued dogs.

Peak-n-Boo ‘Dreams Can Come True’, tells how a frightened, hungry puppy alone in the desert, and an older dog yearning for a playmate come together. The insecure, awkward puppy finds an unexpected mentor and a loving family. Hold onto your dreams and see them come true.

Peak-n-Boo ‘The Treadmill Rules’, is the second story about this pair. When Boo was a young dog, she needed corrective surgery. Her doctor recommended that Boo walk on an inclined treadmill for physical therapy. The first time Peak saw the treadmill running the story unfolded. Peak’s initial fear quickly led to curiosity, then over-confidence to hopefully lessons learned.

Peak-n-Boo ‘Special Delivery’, shows Peak grown into a beautiful young dog. Happily, she and Boo fill their days with togetherness and play. Peak has been learning more lessons every day, but would her inexperience and over-zealous nature lead to danger? Blues knew that something special would happen when the mail truck came up their road. Will the impatient Peak learn a lesson in time?

The Peak-n-Boo books are filled with lessons of compassion, tolerance, love, patience, hope and an appreciating of one’s individual uniqueness. Does a dog learn by her mistakes? Can they bounce back after a blunder? Do dogs dream? Can those dreams come true? Absolutely.

Each book offers a reader quiz following each story, and they encourage interaction and discussion. The second and third books have a bonus comic strip and quiz, and at the end of book three, there is short story about how the books began.

About the author/illustrator:

On the healing and spiritual journey of my life, animals have always played an important roll. Rescued animals have always been present in my life. I consider them not only family and friends, but also valued confidants. My photo art has primarily been focused around animals. Most of which has been donated to many causes over the years. Writing and illustrating children's books sort of snuck up on me. During my quest for animal protection, an awe-inspiring necessity was revealed to me personally*.
